About Me
I'm a senior software developer with 20+ years of experience building enterprise systems, SaaS products, and custom business applications. I'm based in rural Warsaw, Ohio, where I live with my wife and nine children.
My career started under the mentorship of my father, John Loper Sr. — a 30+ year industry veteran. I learned database design, software architecture, and code organization the hard way, before frameworks made it easy. That foundation, combined with two decades of shipping real products, is what I bring to every project.
I'm a full-stack builder — I own the entire lifecycle from requirements through deployment and maintenance. I'm equally comfortable designing a database schema, architecting a microservice, deploying Docker containers on Linux, or building a modern web frontend. I'm also deeply invested in self-hosted infrastructure and running my own production environments.

What I'm Looking For
I'm seeking a full-time remote position (W2 or 1099) focused on .NET software development. I thrive in environments where I can own features end-to-end — from design through deployment.
I'm equally comfortable joining a team as a senior contributor or leading a small team as a technical lead. I bring 20+ years of shipping real products, self-hosted infrastructure experience, and a reputation for delivering on promises.
